Value for money in Mexico: Rancho Andrea

Rancho Andrea is a cute rustic hotel sitting on the shores of the lake known as Cajon de Penas. Rooms are comfortable with a selection of double and twin bedded rooms. The cost is around 500 pesos per night per room. There are very adequate cooking and kitchen facilities so that one can self cater in style.

The surroundings are tranquil and peaceful and for me the ultimate antidote for stress.

Access to the lake for boating is convenient, and the fishing if you happen to have the right lure, is fantastic. Bass are predominant in this lake.Below are some photos taken in the dry season of Rancho Andrea and the lake. It is about a 2 hour drive south of Puerto Vallarta close to El Tuitto and north of El Barra de Navidad.
